What are Volume Eyelash Extensions?
This technique contains a lot of diligence and requires a significant amount of skill compared to classic eyelash extensions. As a result Volume Lashes can take a little longer than my other services, depending on the product, technique or both. Volume lashes can also be referred to as 2D, 3D, 4D, or 5D, or other terms, depending. Unlike normal lash extension formulation 1 natural lash: to one lash extension, 2 lashes are referred to as 2D, 3 lashes: 3D, etc. Volume Lashes consist of applying multiple lash extensions to each natural eyelash in a fanned shape. This can result in having 200- 500 eyelash extensions applied to each eye, rather than the regular 80-100 extensions per eye with the classic 1:1 eyelash extensions. The extensions used are even lighter, and finer than Mink Eyelash extensions. However, multiple lashes can be applied without damaging the lash, looking “clumpy”, or feeling too heavy and unnatural. But depending on the product, brand, or incorrect technique, this can happen!
When multiple volume lashes are applied, they create a full and natural feather-effect look. 2D = approximately 200 lashes per eye, 3D = approximately 300 lashes per eye this can continue up to 5D. This technique can be done up to 8D, but anything over 5 D can be quite over dramatic. As there are significantly more lashes per natural lash (between two and five, depending on the service),
Volume lashes are made to help create a thicker fuller appearance, by having additional attached lashes. So instead of individual lash extensions (1 lash extension to 1 natural lash), you have 1 volume lash (which can consist of 2 or more lashes) to one natural lash. Volume lashes will be a lighter weight, (0.0.7 or lighter) and will be light enough that the natural lashes can carry the extensions. Book your appointment now online or call!
